She is a resident of New York City. Chando studied at Manhattan College prior to becoming an actor. Chando was the first Maddie Coleman of the television soap show As World Changes. The character was played by Chando from 2005 until 2007 before returning for several months after the show's end in 2009. Alexandra's acting debut was in House Blend, the TV series House Blend on the show House Blend, in which she played Jenna Harper. She played Maddie Coleman in the CBS television soap As the World Turns for three years. In the year 2009 Chando got a role in the American documentary television series True life and further appeared in the TV series, Sherri. Chando was in two episodes of Glory Daze (an American comedy-drama series) in the role of Annabelle. Other TV credits include Castle, Hindsight Dead People and Outcast.
